Amanda Darty, DMD

Dr. Amanda Darty was born and raised in Walker County and is proud to serve the community she has always called home. From a young age, she knew she wanted to pursue a career in dentistry—driven by a love for science and a deep passion for helping others. Influential local dentists, especially Dr. Buddy Thorne, helped mentor her early on, encouraging her interest in dentistry and patient care.

Dr. Darty graduated from Walker High School in 1997 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Samford University in 2001. She went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 2006.

A lifelong learner, Dr. Darty is deeply committed to continuing education and staying at the forefront of dental advancements. She has completed specialized training in CEREC, Invisalign®, Botox, and dermal fillers, and has studied implant techniques at the Las Vegas Institute. She practices cutting-edge digital dentistry, which is her true passion—using multiple intraoral scanners and fully digital workflows to deliver precise, efficient, and comfortable care.

In 2015, Dr. Darty opened a brand-new office designed to offer the highest quality dentistry in a modern, welcoming environment. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, her practice brings the latest in dental innovation to Jasper and the surrounding areas.

Beyond dentistry, Dr. Darty is dedicated to giving back to her community. She actively supports local nonprofits and is involved in various community initiatives aimed at improving Jasper and Walker County. She also enjoys traveling, learning about other cultures, hiking, and exploring new places.

Dr. Darty is married to Sergeant First Class Richard Trah Anderson. She has one son, Chase, and two stepsons, Logan and Luke. Together, they enjoy sports, family time, and travel. The Darty-Anderson family are proud members of First United Methodist Church in Jasper.
